This Is My Career Programme is a pilot 12 week programme supporting individual and entrepreneurs to kick start there new careers. The participants have access to a business coach and are provided with skills, knowledge and confidence required to support new career or business goals.

Dawn Carr is currently part of This Is My City Community Outreach support team. Dawn is a Level 3 Fitness Coach and is also qualified to do exercise referral for mental health and diabetes. Dawn is currently undertaking a MRes and researching the impact of social prescribing and its implementation at a local level.
Her expertise enables her to develop user-led programmes, build community capacity, and deliver accessible interactive workshops for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Angela Kumah is currently conducting a PhD research at Birmingham University, aimed at improving culturally sensitive mental health promotion among Black African and Afro-Caribbean communities in Birmingham.
Angela spport various project run by UCAN Birmingham’s outreach team within her capacity as a Clinical Psychologist. As a mental health expert, she can provide support with anxiety and wellbeing.
